"EJMcD" You may be correct but, I see people getting to the point that feel if the shoot enough they will get a good one. I believe every one should be a good one.

I find your posts seem to contradict each other but like everyone here, you are certainly entitled to post your opinions even if they change from time to time. Be well and enjoy your photography in whatever manner you choose to do it as everyone else should.

Many times after taking multiple images of a subject, I often find that my first shot was the best. Does anyone else experience this?
The truth is “chimping” has come a long way. Funny thing though, when ever I take my EOS Rebel 2000 out for one roll of film I cannot check the photos. I have to wait a week to find one good one out off 36 chances.

and that is why IMO digital technology is the greatest thing that ever happened to Photography. The best feature being ...the delete button. If you don't like it, delete it and take another. Pay no attention to those who disapprove of how many you take or how often you "chimp".
I consider the first shot a good one because you just fired the shutter with a thought. Then the next shots your working the speed and aperture. With the ISO you can spin that puppy any way you choose.
When you get home, may will delete the middle shots because they may not be as good. Keep them on the card for good personal critique later on.
