Walked around the woods by our house to see what bucks we could find ....wowza...we found a really nice whitetail buck that made it ...he was with a doe and wouldn't leave her so I was able to get some really good shots of him. We saw a few other smaller bucks as well.

Nice set Cindy.

As always, Cindy, great work!
Hard to pick a favorite, but I will also go with #1.

First of all excellent photos and the shot with the buck trying to hide behind the tree is my favorite. I used to hunt in elk hunt in northwest Colorado and we had to drive through Area 10 to get to our location. The night of the last day we were driving home and a massive 6x7 bull elk was just walking down the road. After dark, shooting from road and the worst sin would have been taking a elk in area 10, where you got a $10,000 fine if you didn't draw for that area. I resisted temptation and stayed out of jail that night.

Glad everyone enjoyed this series of these boys! We always made the deer meat into pepper sticks, thuringer and such so the bigger the deer the better but we haven't harvested a deer in many years.....we go for the elk instead. Would rather have the hamburger and steaks from an elk than anything from a deer...just tastes so much better and you get so much more meat!

We have harvested a few whitetails larger than this guy and the horns are hanging on my wall!
