I know all you extremist republicans are familiar.

Not once have I claimed his innocence.. just the contrary. He had the world at his fingertips... a nuclear physicist ... that is a really powerful job, excellent money, etc. It's all gone down the drain because of his "proclivities"? Sort of sad - more so than a political issue as it is being made out to be here in the Attic.

I don't think that anyone here said that they were Judge and Jury, I don't feel sorry for people who are so in your face. I really don't care about people's proclivities, to each their own, but when they make spectacles of themselves in an in your face kind of way.... Well I think that they do that for the shock value for little more reason to scorn those who react to their flamboyance.

I agree Brinton does have a right to plead his case in front of a judge and jury to decide if he is guilty or not. That doesn't necessarily mean he gets to keep his job, especially after being caught on video preforming the illegal act, not just once but at least twice for stealing luggage, clothing and jewelry. Once "arrested" most people are fired for being absent and unable to preform their job, long before ever going to trial.

You state that you suspect my comments are because Brinton is different than me, you're absolutely right, I have never be been arrested, much less for theft.

When I saw your comment "You're are all set and ready to take him out back and hang him for a tree." I had to laugh, isn't that what you preach everyday here in the Attic about Trump?

Just as a side note, your name calling doesn't do much for your perceived intelligence level. It really sounds childish coming from what I assume is an adult.

OK, I can agree with your comment but, when one goes for the shock value and people react accordingly, who won that contest?

Until he was arrested for stealing a travel bag, no one was paying much attention to him. Now.... ??

Attention is paid to where the media directs it, had Mr. Brinton been covered attending meetings or congressional hearings I am sure that he would have left many scratching their heads in wonderment.

I don't blame the media. They sell stories. That's their job. This was, is, and will be an ongoing story.
What I dislike about the media is that they no longer even try to verify the contents - just publish it. And, many a story is nothing more than headlines... no story and no follow-up. Just a mention of something happening.

No accountability.

I agree with that. I also think that media on both sides, IMO our media has chosen sides, carefully weighs the political impact of their articles and coverage, certainly not the role envisioned for the fourth estate.

I think that the media is more concerned with getting the story out first that they have pretty much given up on verification of facts.
