This was done from a color image using Quad-Tone to create a black and white
I used Quad Tone to get more detail in the snow and a little drama in the rest of the image.
If anyone is interested I have the process in a step by step instructions for Adobe Photoshop.

Well, I posted yesterday, hit "send" and the internet went out never to return until this AM. So, I'll try again. I took the path of least resistance and used some presets

Well, this is crazy!!! The millisecond I posted the ones on p1 - internet went out until this AM, couldn't find the post and there was no indication it was sent. So - y'all got to see it twice!! Way back the saying was - "double post? then a poem for the host" so here goes.

Some of mine look similar but They are two tones of the same color.try uploading to lunapic once there under filters chose duo Tone, you can select your colors for light and dark.
