Nice. Kids being polite for the old folks. I bet they can't wait to get back to their cell phones. 😂

A recent day when my son, who teaches photography, is teaching three of our grandchildren to shoot manual. They haven’t memorized the f stops yet, but the memorization mantra for the day was “smaller number, bigger opening”. He set all their shutters on 1/125 and auto ISO and had them shoot using different apertures. Some of the images were actually pretty decent. The next lesson is about shutter speed.

I can see a lot of GAS in their future😄😄

They will be buying types of products that don't even exist now.

Just fabulous!! My grandkids are now is their late teens & 20's. When they were very young, I used to let them shoot with my Canon DSLR's. They loved it and surprisingly produced some excellent images. Mostly now they shoot with their cell phones. Love the photo of the three of them!!

Great way to start. If they show interest they’ll want to learn more. If not, at least they’ve been exposed😳

Great picture and a great thing you are doing. Did someone fall behind the kids? Hope they, and the camera, are OK!

As kpmac commented, cameras will be different by the time they are my age.

I predict that when they are in their late 70s cameras will be an implant in the brain, capturing the signal from the eyes and sending it to your computer by just thinking about it.

If I am wrong, post your corrections on UHH… I will be sure to read them!

I hope not!! God help us if that happens. I think we have sufficient technology. We should concentrate on creating a peaceful and harmonious human race.

Mark, and TriX, I was going to wait 65 To 70 years from now for the replies.

I just predicted it, didn’t say I agreed with it… but… both technology… and wars and rumors of wars… will certainly continue.

I understand and still wish our priorities were to create a harmonious and peaceful world. I realize this site is devoted to photography and advances in technology appeal to most.
Be well,

But even with all the bad in the world, we still have our families and music.

I do often think that I would have liked for our grandchildren (also teens and 20) to grow up in the environment that I grew up in.

Absolutely. My children were lucky enough to grow up that way, but I worry (a lot) about the world we’re leaving our grandchildren.
