I've probably mentioned this before, but camelcamelcamel is a good service. It watches the prices of items on your Amazon Wish List and tells you when the price has dropped. Amazon could raise the price again within minutes, so you can't wait forever.

I wanted to put new wallpaper up in the kitchen, and I put a few designs on my Wish List. I got an email yesterday showing a price reduction of more than half on one of my preferred designs, so I ordered two rolls. Sometimes, I don't need an item right away, so I let it sit until there is a significant price drop.

I was always confused about the difference between a camel and a dromedary. Then I found a poem by my favorite renaissance poet, Ogden Nash.

The camel has a single hump
The dromedary two
Or else the other way around
I'm never sure, are you?

So now all I have to do is remember that he got it wrong.

My daughter Jordana, at age two, knew the difference and the names of every animal in her animal book, even the Quetzel. However, at almost 86, I’m not sure which has two humps!

I have enough trouble at only 83 remembering how to spell dromedary. Sometimes I'm thankful for spellcheck (not often).
