Beautiful bird! We call it "pygargue à tête blanche" (Haliaeetus leucocephalus). It seems to be the "emblême" of the USA!!! Hopefully their number will grow up in the coming years. I would like we have also such birds nesting in our coast lines. I know they are few of them in Corsica (calanques de Piana), living in the cliffs above the sea, near Porto.
Unfortunatly, I saw one, just once, from far away...
