Camouflage in the fall colors

It would have been easy to miss this turkey that was hiding in plain sight. I think the bird missed the seasonal color change by a week or two. I would have missed the photo opportunity had I been out walking a bit earlier.

I was most impressed that the turkey had been carved out of a stump. On top of the fine art work was the fact that the stump was on the far side of a large field, and was way away from the road. Why? You would think the artist would place his work somewhere that could be seen.

All in all, you did good, though, even timing it to be there when you could get the little lizard in the shot, too.

Maybe because that is where the stump with the turkey in it was.🙄
