Redundancy: Same trail, same b/w treatment, same bobcat

And yes, the bobcat (trail cam photos) is in color. If I seem to lack imagination, I guess I kind of do, since I posted a bunch of black and whites from the Cougar Trail last week along with a bobcat from my trail camera in color. Last week I forgot to switch out the alkaline batteries for lithium, and I've learned from devastating experience that the former freeze and prevent the camera from working. I had huge mountain lion tracks in the snow not ten feet from a camera several years ago, but no lion videos; the temperature had dropped below 32 degrees.

Anyway, this morning I proceeded downstream from where I hiked last week, because the canyon takes on an entirely different look, very dramatic with more exposed rock formations. It's always a somewhat challenging hike with a sketchy trail, and with rushing water and icy patches it becomes more so. But that is when it is at its most photogenic. Again, I chose to convert from color because I felt the images would have more impact. I hope you agree.

Of course. As you can see, it would be hard to go wrong on that trail. Evidently the bobcat agrees.

Thanks for looking. We have a lot more water in the creeks as we head into winter this year so I'm anxious to explore other areas. I find ice formations mesmerizing.
