Our safari vehicles have what is called a lay flat door. This helps you get lower so you can be eye level with the animal. This young male was walking towards us and Piper said we needed to keep an eye on him as young males are very curious. All the other animals are reasonably predictable, but the young males may want to come and see what you are and what you are pointing at him. They could be dangerous in that if they get close enough they may take a swipe at you and your camera or could actually put their paws up on the door. They are not being aggressive in a bad way, a curious way that could result in a scratch or a loss of camera! This guy eventually veered off and went on his way.

Me in the lay flat door but with a cheetah, one of the times I just stopped and enjoyed being so close to such an amazing animal.
