I have a Panasonic GX85 that comes with a couple of kit lenses which work well for me, but I would like to add a lens that would be a 600 MM as a 35 MM size.

Is there a compatable lens that I can add to my current lenses ?

If so, approximent price ?

Thanks for your help

Look here: for a brief description, the 100-300 is the equivalent of an 35 mm 200-600

Or the Panasonic 100-400, which you can also put a 1.4x or 2.0x Teleconverter on. That would get you out to the 35mm equivalent of 1600mm.

Thank you, I will check them out.

I have a Nikon mount 70-300 manual focus lens and a Nikon to 4/3ds adapter. I can try that on my GF1
and see if it works there. I am hesitant to try it on my GX85 in case it my damage the camera someway. I
expect it probably is not a problem.

Indeed these are great choices. I have the 100-300mm. It is small light and very nice. Olympus also has some lenses as well.

You have a few choices that will produce a great two lens travel set-up. On the Panasonic side there are the 35-100 f2.8 (~$900), the 100-300 f4/5.6 (~$1200), and the 100-400 f4/6.3 (~$1400). On the Olympus side of lenses, there are the 12-100 f4 Pro IS (~$1200), the 100-400 f5-6.3 (~$1400), the 1.4X teleconverter (~$350), and 2X teleconverter (~$430). There is also the 150-400 f4.5 Pro IS 1.25X lens (~$7500), but to get the full 8 stops of image stabilization you would need an Olympus/OMDS E-M1 mkIII or OM-1 body. The Olympus teleconverters unfortunately can only be used on the two Olympus telephoto zooms because of there design. Your best set-ups in my opinion would be the Panasonic 35-100 and either the 100-300 or 100-400. If you really wanted to be able to use teleconverters, substitute the Olympus 100-400 for the Panasonic 100-400. And the Olympus 100-400 is slightly sharper at the 400 end.
