We have a 4500-acre wildlife preserve a couple miles from my house, and it is loaded with wood duck houses. Been going there for years, but I had never seen a wood duck until.... I was driving one day and noticed motion. There one was! I fumbled for the camera on the seat next to me. By the time I swung it around, I was just in time to get a great shot of a wood duck butt entering a thick bunch of weeds
