This made me laugh. "You can extend the range of your key fob by holding it against your chin. The fluids in your head act as a conductor, and your body becomes part of the antenna."
Is that something you really want to do? Send a signal into your head and then relay it to your car? That's a good scene for a comedy. What could go wrong? 🤣
I can see some Darwin Award candidate trying to power other devices with his head. "Because of the extensive damage to his head, not even dental records were able to identify him."
The version that I’ve heard is that the signal travels further if you aim the fob at your forehead because it bounces off the bone and is magnified. Of course, that means that it works better with many women because they’re more hard headed!

You have to be more careful with your body. I would recommend shooting it the head of someone nearby.
Take your fob back to your dealer and he will install a new battery for free. That’s the best way to go.

My fob has a standard button battery, easily replaceable.

I think they all do now, but why pay if you are in the area of a dealer and can get one free?

For me it's a drive I don't need to do. Then, do
all dealers not charge for the battery?
The grocery store, and others sell button batteries. I'm there often.

If it’s a drive you don't need to make, that’s a different situation. Do they all? Can’t say, but I have never had one turn me down.

Not what I've heard around here. You pay labor, and you pay a premium for a $.50 battery. MY Honda fob is hard to open, and I'm always afraid that I'm going to break it. Ibuy thos CR2032 bateries by the dozen because they are used in so many devices.

I’m wondering if those batteries are really ‘free’. If your car gets 30 miles per gallon and the dealer is more than 1.5 miles away, at current fuel prices you are losing money and time. If the car is electric, you still are paying to recharge.
