This image was taken in Monument Valley's back country. This is called Big Hogan. The reason is a Hogan has a hole in the roof. In the Hogan itself it has a fire box with a smokestack that goes out that hole. The dark water line coming down the top is like a leading line for your eyes to follow to the Lady in Red. If your into playing a Native American Flute, the sound in here is amazing!

The scale is spectacular. Since bright cyan is the opposite of the orange rocks it might be a better choice than the red to stand out more.

I understand complementary colors but when I do this shoot with the groups I bring there I always check the shadows. If you notice she's in the shadow. Thanks for you comment.
