Clinton was Impeached for Perjuring himself multiple times in a Federal Court of law. A court which he was a sworn officer of.

He was also Impeached for Obstruction of Justice in the same Federal Court.

In addition, the Judge in that Federal court found Clinton in contempt of court & levied a penalty of $90,686 on him for his perjury .

The cast was ultimately settled out-of-court with Clinton's payment of $850,000 to the plaintiff.

The Judge in that case also referred the matter to the Arkansas Supreme Court, who then suspended Clinton's Arkansas law license for 5 years and fined him $25K under a settlement to avoid disbarment proceedings.

The referral also saw Clinton's US Supreme Court Law license suspended pending disbarment proceedings, and which he ended up surrendering in order to avoid the penalties related to disbarment.
