This little guy was very busy on our Salvia Bush...doing what they do best, drinking nectar from the flowers.
He looked quite surprised in the first shot, he leaped onto the stem which was originally pointing up but as he jumped onto it it swung down and he almost his his head on the ground...LOL

Very nice set! Perhaps in the last pic he was allowing his equilibrium to reset!

When you post shots as stunningly beautiful as these, they invariably stop me in my tracks 🖤💛🤍💛🖤
We have nothing comparable around my area except perhaps pheasants (not peasants) - and the last one I saw was about fifteen years ago
