These photos were taken just a few miles west of Ridgeway, Colorado. It is not really a dark sky area and there was a lot of traffic on the dirt road I was on. The first image is the actual view as you would see it. In the second image, I used a separate image of the mountains to achieve focus. The first image is too blue and the focus was not good, so I didn't bother trying to repair it. While there I took many photos and most were failures. I hope you enjoy.

…there is dark and dark enough…these are excellent and you must have been pleased to get them…I love the silhouette of the mountains against the sky…!

I think you did a wonderful job, I have shot several Milky Way's and I learn something new every time.
