Odd Situation - Yes, Again

For some reason, my Dell desktop keeps losing the printer drivers, and I have to bring in a laptop if I want to print. It will cure itself in time, but I don't like waiting.

I went on the Epson site to download drivers, but they told me to try again later.

I've seen that happen when an anti-virus program thinks the driver is a virus and quarantines the file.

I tried updating drivers, but the Epson software stalled.

Not surprising. You live in the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow"! Spooks abound!

Jerry, just curious. How many computers do you have?

Do you want to make fun of me? Let me think -

I'd say ten that are working, both Windows and Apple. I have parts for a new one sitting in boxes. I realized that I had a lot of miscellaneous parts, and I need just a few more to build another computer, so one of these days I'll get to it.

I'm not counting a Netbook, a Dell with a burned-out backlight, and a Toshiba laptop that is questionable.

My son is well on his way to catching up with you. He's less than half your age, so I think he may catch up. He not only has the M1 Max but has built a couple of nice desktops, one specifically for games. Before he bought the M1, he thought his MacPro had died to liquid being spilled on it. Months later it came back. He also purchased a 6" mini Mac to use at work during down times to watch sports. He also has a couple of nice big monitors on his desk. That's where he plays games mostly.

I forgot about small Dell I also have. It's too basic, but it works fine.

Life is surprisingly short - without advanced notice - and if you don't do what you want, you're doing something wrong.
