Second post. Apopka LK. Sunday morning
Another really nice day in the swamp, Weather wise and photo wise!
First time for us with an Ibis and a snake.
The glossy Ibis showing up in big numbers now.
American Bittern. Never seen one out in the open like this.
Lots of Ducks now too.
And the BIG Boy!
Q: Why did the alligator cross the road?
A: Because it wanted to eat you.
(That's a joke, y'know. Everybody knows alligators don't want to eat you. They only want to roll around in the grass --or in the swamp, if there's a swamp handy-- with you.)
Nice varied set Chief.

Welcome to the Dark Side, Cany!
I have a healthy respect for anything with big teeth and bad enough to eat me, even though I DO know 'gators don't want to eat me! So, I limit needless exposure with long lenses and such. Safety first, last, and always!
But rolling around with...I'm down with that
ps I hope you haven't given up on the flying 'gator that you asked for lo these many long months ago! I'm still working on it!
Really exxcellent shots Keith. Even without the download they have lots of depth and color.
That one of the snake looking right up the bird's gullet is pretty fascinating. Can't help but feel a little sorry for him. At this point he's nothing but protein.
Well done.

Thank you very much, Fred. Yes, I always have sympathy for those that I catch as they are looking at a slow slide down someone's gullet. THAT'S a tough way to go!
I love the color and depth that I get from Full Frame, especially with the D850. It reminds me of medium format slides with film!

Good series!
Thank you, Karin. I'm glad you liked this set!
Great set Chief. The snake photos are a surprise I thought Ibis concentrated on bugs in the mud

Thanks, Jack. Me too. I have seen them with Crayfish and other water critters, but this surprised me.
Excellent, Chief, I still pick the glossy ibis.

Thanks again, Mike. The Glossy Ibis are really hard to look past aren't they?

Just photographically speaking Mike, I certainly agree with you. It's a beautiful shot.
(could maybe Photoshop-in a snake or two)

Maybe the two of you could work something out! It wouldn't hurt my feelings. But I don't photoshop, so you will have to leave me out of it!
