I am a Nikon (d500 and z50) user but am in the market for a p&s camera that I can carry in my purse or pocket on days I don’t want to carry a larger camera.

I don’t shoot much video but want to be able to capture landscape, architecture, street, and scenery stills in a high quality raw format. I do not need incredible zoom…would be happy with 24mm-70mm range.

Have looked at Sony rx100iii, Canon G7x, Panasonic LUMIX LS100II or the LUMIX ZS200. I want to purchase a used camera if possible , since I have plenty of gear. I absolutely an need EVF that is fixed on camera (which makes me hesitate on the Sony). Right now I am leaning toward Panasonic, but would value input. Price range $400-800. Suggestions?

They're pretty much all the same. Each model / brand has several options, all about the size of a deck of cards. You just have to find the mix of features that fits your needs. I went with a Canon G9X II. I don't remember why specifically, other than maybe this one didn't have flip screen and might have been cheaper as a result.

I have a G7x that takes really good pictures. I don't use it much and would be willing to sell it

I have the Canon G7X II. It takes fantastic pictures for what it is, but it doesn't have an EVF.

I can totally recommend the LS100II and the LS100I (I have both, although there is very little obvious difference between the 2 models except for the touch screen).
I now have my Nikon 7100 with a 70-300mm zoom permanently attached if I need longer reach but use it very rarely. The Lumix is not quite pocketable and if you use a lens hood even less so.
There is a bit of a learning curve to set the camera up but imo the results are worth it.

A 1"sensor with a brand name will be fine. Will have the features you need. Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Sony, should please.

I have the canon g7II what is a nice little pocket camera but I don’t carry it with me ether especially since covid I keep my pockets empty. The most I carry with me is my cell. As photographer the g7 have some limits and it have some incredible build in stuff too. I would see if the z50 is small enough to carry around.

Check out the discussion on the iPhone 14 Pro as a P & S solution or option.
I am very happy with the results and eliminated my thoughts of buying a P & S to leave my Nikons behind.

SONY!!

RX100 III or IV I shoot with Nikon D850 and also use my Sony's on every trip and more. Here is my trip to Hawaii where I used both Sony and Nikon last month. If you scroll each photo flicker shows the camera used. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjA9Hds

I have the ZS100, predecessor to the ZS200, and it’s with me all the time. A 20mp 1” sensor makes fine images. Integral EVF. I would recommend the ZS200.

If you you have an updated/fairly current smart phone, I’m not sure you already have a really good pocketable camera. Just sayin….

I'm partial to the Panasonic Lumix LS 100 II, even if it is a several-year-old design. The Micro 4/3 sensor is the biggest among those cameras you listed. (A 1" sensor is not 1" diagonal! The 1" standard is based on some very shady history of BS marketing. It has a 2.7x magnification instead of a 2X magnification relative to full frame.).
