Last night in Glacier in late September. I can't say I'm pleased with these. Skies turned out ok, but the landscape and foreground is far too noisy. Learning: Either light painting or foreground, or long foreground exposures with blending of sky/foreground images.

Nice images. When I am shooting startrail images. I will usually shoot several foreground images at the tail end of the blue hour. I will then choose the best of these images to blend in with the startrails.

When shooting at such high ISO settings it is obvious that we should expect noise but in the majority of the images I have seen of the Milky Way the noise has been very acceptable and the images have looked fine, like yours do.
My favorite is the first shot.

I enjoyed the last two the most.

Thanks for posting those shots of the Milky Way. We don't know what you were using for a camera & lens or what your settings were, and that makes all the difference in the world. I have even taken a series of background shots during the early dusk hour and blend that into the final image to preserve the dark sky and enhance the foreground. The #3 shot ranks highest in my ratings.

I did astrophotography for the first time while at White Pocket. I had to adjust for foreground and merge the images. But I was pleased with what I finally got. I like yours a lot.
