Some people like to hide their identity and location because of theft. To others they simply don't like to use their real name and use a "handle" from the old CB radio days.While others like to pick fights in some threads and can pick on Hoggers while hiding in plain view.

PS.. It is not a good idea to use your name and location. Not all people are as honest as I hope you are. I think it really puts you in the hot seat for identity theft.

I use my real name and location, I have nothing to be ashmamed of.

I used to teach an NRA course called "Refuse to be a Victim". It is a non violent self awareness course. It covered things like parking lot safety, home security, identity theft,etc. I was mostly about education and common sense. It was so in depth and intense that many people came away with more questions than answers.
