Hillary Clinton had conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt and Mahatma Ghandi, among others, during her tenure as First Lady. For example, in one of the newspaper columns she wrote while First Lady, Ms. Clinton informed her readers that Eleanor Roosevelt "usually responds by telling me to buck up, or at least to grow skin as thick as a rhinoceros."
