I attended my first Renaissance Festival last week-end. I really enjoyed all the costumes most everyone was in. Wish I had more time as it was such a great photo opportunity. Just wish I had taken more. This image of the twins happen to be one photo taken there for this composite. The castle, man made located in Loveland, Ohio. The bridge leading from the castle is a local rock bridge and of course the moon is a local as well, but the witch placed in the moon was taken from somewhere I don't remember. Not mine tho. The face in the plastic container that one of the twins is holding is one of the characters from the festival. Critique is welcomed, I'm curious how this transpired with others. The download is much needed for better detail.

Beautifully atmospheric 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Do you mean the castle isn’t something you’ve generated yourself Dave, I don’t quite understand ‘man-made’? The composite is great, love the outfit. Festivals like that are a real opportunity. Over here my favourite is a huge living history festival that covers many periods and really needs at least two visits to do it justice. I’ve never noticed Halloween influence so many composites as I’ve seen posted around the sites this year. Love your work, you should post more often!

Thank you, Joe. I prefer creating dramatic moody images most of the time.

Sorry Dave, I should have been clearer by what I meant. By 'man-made' ... Harry Andrews, for over fifty years, worked on his castle project. He pulled stones from the nearby Little Miami River, and when that supply was exhausted, molded bricks with cement and quart milk cartons. Château Laroche, also known as the Loveland Castle, is a museum on the banks of the Little Miami River north of Loveland, Ohio, United States. Built in the style of a Medieval castle, construction began in the 1920s.
https://lovelandcastle.com/Glad you like the composite, I thought this may be something you would be interested in based on your previous work. The festival is a yearly event, been going on for sometime now and I have never gotten around to attend. It's almost certain I will return.
My interest in photography has dwindled since covid and I've just recently begun to gain some of that lost interest back. Your comment (Love your work, you should post more often!) is definitely an encouragement. I appreciate it very much.

Ah, now I get it! We had a guy do something similar hereabouts - he hid it behind straw bales whilst building and never sought planning permission. Of course people caught-on and the authorities waited until it was complete and then made him pull it down!
Covid certainly affected us all in one way or another, I hope your inspiration continues to build now you’ve made a start Dave, we need to see more!
I like the image. Keep working. . . .
