I recently got a Nikon Z6 camera refurbished from the Nikon store. I need a simple instruction book for operating this camera. I somehow got the camera set for bracketing and then finally got ti off again. Don't know how I did either. Things that were on the knobs of my D7500 seem to be in the menu instead. I am looking for a how to book. Any ideas would be appreciated.

if you get lost , look for green dots next two buttons and push them together. That usually resets Nikon cameras to factory specs. Does it do it on the z6? Im not sure but did it on all other nikons that I have owned.
Then start again. in the mean time youtube is your friend, LOTS of info there

While not a simple instruction book, it is comprehensive and easy to read. Ir also has a great index if you are looking for something specific, (like resetting bracketing). The first few chapters go over the basics in detail, and then the following chapters get specific on how to customize your camera for your exact needs. I would not be without mine. If you do not wish to make the investment, there are thousands of how to's on You Tube

Just download the manual from Nikon.

This was going to be my suggestion as well. I looked for and found a used one after I purchased my Z6. Excellent reference book.

There's lots of info here. I always look to YouTube for operating tips. They are "tips," well beyond simple how-to directions.

EDIT: There is a recent Nikon update for that. "Major enhancements"

This ten part class is outstanding. It is part of the Creative Live offering by John Greengo. It will cost you $14 and will be the best $14 you have ever spent.

Download the full manual from the Nikon site as a PDF. You want a document titled the "Reference Manual", about 495 pages.

The Z6 Settings Guide may be a help too. Check out all of the manuals, especially the Reference Guide, and firmware info.

And consider a third party guide like Thom Hogan's:

The manual is fine for what it is but to truly learn the camera I suggest a book on it by David Busch, Darrell Young or Thom Hogan.

Great book. Bought it about a year before buying the camera, to get objective (non marketing, non UHH) info on whether or not a Z6 would serve my purposes.

Better to risk $50 on a book for a camera I was NOT yet committed to, than to buy the actual camera to get real answers for better or worse. Its a verrrrry informative easy to read book.

If I wanted a Z9 I would definitely buy the book first ! Its not too late to get the book for the camera you already have.
