low angle
Looking up at a dead rose near the top of a large rose bush and there, like being on the top of a miniature mountain peak, is an ordinary fly.
At first, I could not figure out the little bright spots on the fly - pollen or small drops of dew? Then I saw a couple of drops on the spider webs, so I am thinking small dew drops since this was 11 AM, and it was still cool plus that dead rose is shaded by other parts of the bush for most of the morning.

Thanks a lot.
I was following a small butterfly and a smallish Monarch around, trying to catch them in an open spot and still long enough for a good shot. I got some shots of the Monarch, but just as I clicked the shutter, the small "Skipper" took off and over the fence.

However, his companion on the dead rose stayed around long enough for this shot.
