Yup. I see nothing wrong with checking to see if you got what you wanted to get!

I can't think of any reason not to unless you're interest is in bragging that you get perfect results without needing to review and adjust.
I review and adjust always and recommend it!!!

Digital means of photography provide plenty of info for a given photograph, thus allowing the shooter to adjust settings for composition and exposure right in the camera.

ESPECIALLY at places I cannot easily return to to shoot some more!

I do it when I do long exposure, so that any light doesn't go through the eye-view finder and to check the histogram.

Oh no no, you are getting my words and intent all wrong...just that over time I've seen many of the "so called experts" think it's not needed, or just a waste of time. I've been shooting for over 50 years, and I'll always take a peek and find nothing wrong with doing it! Hell, back in the old days with film we had to wait a week or more to see the results of our efforts. At least now, we can do it in a second. :)

yep, and I'm convinced that many have graduated into being really excellent shooters because of the tools now available by virtue of digital.

yep, a great tool, and why not use it...but I'm sure we'll get some responses from the other camp!
