Which Linux do you use?
I tried Debian which would run but it failed to see my second monitor.
I tried to install Unbuntu but the it failed to start live cd install.

I use Ubuntu 22.04 on my primary desktop. It sees both monitors fine. Red Hat on a lot of work systems.

I have ATI Firepro V5800 and when I tried to install the driver from ATI it won't install. The driver is too old.

Now that I have Fedora installed and running and also installed GIMP. I wonder how can I edit *.nef files from my Nikon using GIMP.

I think I would need to install the older version then upgrade. It seems that the install CD won't work. But Fedora seems to work OK for me now. I am trying to learn the Gnome Boxes .

I’m glad you found something that works. Have you tried to calibrate your monitors yet? Ubuntu is giving me grief, and I saw a lot of comments saying Fedora was the same.

I don't have software to calibrate my monitors. With Windows I use NEC Spectraview II with NEC sensor and NEC monitors they work together great but with Linux I don't think I can do it with the software and hardware I have.

Look like Spectraview II has a version for Linux but the installation procedure is quite complex.

The Python 3 version of DisplayCAL might be working. We’ll see.

In the dim recesses of my memory I think there was an app to use raw files in GIMP. UFRaw?
