Fish Caught

After photographing the two sturgeon released into a nearby section of the Snake River in Shelley, ID, I went back to my reason for being in the area, fly fishing. I did not catch any big fish but I caught six trout that would fit perfectly in a frying pan. These are two of the six I caught on a 3 weight rod.

Dennis, nice shot. Well done. Brought back memory of my Dad. Spec trout season opens here in Ontario Canada May 1. Each year Dad and I went out together and caught our limit. Then home to the frypan for a feed of fresh trout. Thanks for the memory Dennis.

You are very welcome Fleckjohn65. I can recall doing similar things with my father as well, fishing and occasionally going to a cow pasture in upstate NY where he would find mushrooms and take them home to fry for breakfast. How he knew mushrooms from toadstools is beyond me but we never got sick. It is those memories that keep me going from time to time. Thanks for your family recollection too.
