FreeFileSync is a great program. How much does it cost? It's "Free." they do accept donations, though. This is similar to an old DOS program, Dirmatch. Select a folder on one drive and compare it with a folder on another drive. When the program shows you the differences between them, you can decide what to do. You can select Two Way, Mirror, Update, or Custom and make both drives the same - or not. If you use it often enough, it's very fast, but if you're going to be copying gigabytes of data in multiple folders, it could take a while.
That could come in real handy for seeing differences/fixing for directories on a laptop and desktop where one desires the same files to be on both systems. Maybe not so much though if there are only a few files in the directory as opposed to a BUNCH.
I've been using it for years and it works great. I back up my photos from the ssd to a memory stick that I can take anywhere.
Sounds great - thanks Jerry!

Actually, it seems perfect for working with just a few files. Instead of using SyncBack to back up a whole folder (which requires making changes to the program), I can tell FreeFileSync to add the new files.

Back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, there was a program called XTree Gold.
It's demise occurred about the same time as Netscape.
Renamed, redone with many improvements, it was brought back to life as
ZTree.
One must be somewhat adept with DOS to really appreciate its power and capabilities. It is free for 30 days.
If you are an IT person or network administrator, it can be an invaluable tool.
