Apple raised their prices in streaming services... Big time.

Initial for 1 person 9.99 now 10.99 (app. 10% more)
Family 14.99 now 16.99 (app. 13%)
Apple TV 4.99 now 6.99 (app. 40%)

In the time of 'need' another corporation gouges its client base.

The question is... Does anyone need this crap, at all?

Also check this chart of prices...

I've never owned an Apple product and probably never will.

It’s only money. Buy what you can justify/afford. There is obviously a market for luxury goods in many categories but we get to make our own choices. Apple is certainly not guilty of price gouging since they are in a highly competitive market.

Don’t know if you’ve been paying attention, but the economy has been effed up for a while. Maybe you could produce a spreadsheet that would explain why?

Stupid Question:
We have downloaded songs for a Christmas Tree Lighting many years ago from Apple Music. If I drop Apple Music, will we lose those downloaded songs?
Don’t need Apple Music as I have Amazon Music.

I stay away from most anything having to do with Apple products or services.
They like Dell are too proprietary with their products.

will

Yet, people keep giving Apple their money because "Apple is the best."

Apple ranks #7 in revenue, but they are #2 in profit. Does that imply that they are charging more than they have to for their products?

If you have them on your computer, and backed up, you should be able to keep using them.

I also never have owned an Apple product, and I NEVER will! For some stupid reason Apple products - and especially phones - seemed to become status symbols, poorly thought out as that was, but not for me! And that from the earliest Apple computers, when I was working in a computer store. Part of my income was commission based, but when a customer came in asking for an Apple computer, I would say "Bill, can you help this customer, please?" We also sold IBM and Epson computers, and occasionally, some other brands.

Whew...prices are the problem.
That'll do it for most.
Not the country using slave labor and having concentration camps brimmed to capacity.

Prices...

Apple raised their prices in streaming services...... (show quote)

From the title I thought you solved my problem. I would like to change to something Windows based in lieu of the latest (this month) Apple iPad PRO 11” I am considering… I detest the lack of file management capability of Apple products, wanting the equivalent of Win Explorer…but… can’t find a MS Surface (& don’t know of another competitor) to compete… in terms of…

Display
Processor power
RAM Memory
Storage option of 1 or 2 TB
Both wi-fi & cellular included
Weight (lighter is better… the reason for 11” instead of 12.9”)

The iPod should be fine indefinitely. I have a couple connected to radios in the house. I recently saw a musician who has his backup music on an iPod for performances. He plays his guitar, and the iPod plays backup music. They only iPod that sailed was one of those time ones - a little larger than a postage stamp.
