When past and present meet.
Yesterday was wet and stormy...I was not inspired to take photos. But, I accidentally discovered this windmilland decided to come closer to take a picture.
As I was looking for the best angle, I saw in the background the alignment of newly installed wind turbines.
Shot in Montceau-et-Echarnant
47° 3'27.73"N 4°39'37.77"E= location of the well renoved windmill (2003 and 2011) which was first erected probably in the 14th century
I found the perspective with the wind turbines quite interesting...nice contrast .
I'm standing 78 m away from the wind mill and the first wind turbine is about 980 m far away behind it.Focal length set at 58 mm

What a story! Nice photo!!
Great concept and photo! Wasn't there a saying like whatever is old becomes new again? I can envision a picture with a modern EV next to a 120 year old Baker Electric.
nice juxtaposition its not often that you get this sort of opportunity
Nice photo and historical contrast, thanks.
Good eye and execution, Dan! Your photo tells a story.
