These are beautiful, as always, and I’m intrigued by #7. There is an incredible amount of “gingerbread” on this temple and I’m not sure it’s all beneficial for the decor. It is quite unusual as you said.
Thank you Ellen, good to see you looking in again on this newest segment of our Asia trip where we will be seeing all kinds of hopefully interesting aspects of life and culture, mainly in Northern Thailand. That temple in #7 is a very unusual temple, we have never seen anything quite like that. Susan does not like it, I myself am ambivalent about it, I admire the imagination that went into its design and construction and the almost dogmatic insistence on it all being pure white (but there is actually a golden counterpart ...) but I will leave this up to your imagination until we hit that spot in about 4 week's time. Good to have you aboard again Ellen!
