The worst kind of haze is bright, sunlit haze, especially when it's caused by patchy mist. And haze is, of course, a problem with humid places that get a lot of rain. Despite all that, haze doesn't have to be a complete shot-spoiler. This is quite a nice view of you can see past the patchy softness.

Thank you Bill. Some of the detail has gone a bit soft in parts so I'd have to stipulate a minimum viewing distance of at least 10 ft .

Well framed lake by the foreground vegetation. The lake and mountain are a strong vs weak ... positive/negative space play. Same play applies to the strong foreground and the thin delicate color of the sky.

It may sound odd, I see such color plays more clearly when I take off my glasses and the photo is blurred areas of color. Although, perhaps, not as clearly vague if I have a second cup of coffee.

Clearly-Vague is an interesting coupling of words!!

Thank you Donald. Without the distraction of detail we see colour more clearly, and without the distraction of colour we see detail more clearly (as in B&W).

Since much of my thinking is clearly vague, it's good to know that coffee is an antidote .

I really like this view. The mountain is quite lovely, and the lake looks quite pristine. You have really nice foreground elements. I like the grasses that are sticking up into the frame. The "softness" doesn't bother me, as that's very normal and natural.

Thank you Kathy. Maybe I shouldn't let the softness bother me too much either.

There's nothing like capturing the natural beauty of a scene. You've done that quite nicely, R.G.
