The Cougar Trail (my name for it) meanders along Cherry Creek through one of the most appealing canyons in my neck of the woods. Even when the forest is dry and the water flow is intermittent, the Cougar Trail is a good place to be. I have had trail cameras placed at various locations along the creek, but my current spot is the best I've found--a good thing since I've lost the key to the locking cable.
Coatimundis, mostly just called coatis (ko WAH tees) are abundant along riparian areas, and this tribe of them seems to be flourishing. Nearly all the coatis you see in these snapshots taken from trail cam videos are youngsters; they are all quite small. Since they also climb trees it is easy to imagine you're watching a band of monkeys.
The bear has only made one appearance on this camera, and I look forward to seeing more of it. The animals were moving just fast enough in the videos to prevent my getting really sharp stills; I don't know what everyone's hurry was.
I hope you enjoy these photos and maybe soak up a little of the magic in that canyon.
A beautiful place. Your trail camera gets great wildlife shots.

I'm glad you liked these. I actually have seven cameras of varying qualities and this one's pretty good for daytime action.

Love the scenery and love animal visitors!! It is a very pretty area and I could spend a lot of time at that waterfall.

This has been an incredible year for rain in our area, so all the creeks, even ones that never existed before, have waterfalls. I bet bears have fun in THAT pool!
Good shots! I can understand the slight blur as part of a video. Coatis are certainly worth 'shooting' because you're way they still live.
I still have to have the opportunity to get a Bear in daylight! I've only been successful with IR for everyone sees them in the day BUT ME! Snakes are another one I never see. Today a family told me they saw a Red Diamondback drinking from a fountain. Wish I had seen it!
Keep 'shooting'! We love your photos!

Thank you; that's very kind. I've certainly seen my share of bears around here, and snakes too. But I've never had snakes on one of my cameras. I suppose if I found a potential den I could set up a camera, but with my luck I'd only get bugs and rodents.
