My favourite model will be coming quite familiar to regulars here! This is Kristine (last seen running from the lighthouse) now swinging on the moon whilst keeping an eye on the world. A straightforward composite using my images - apart from the Earth, strangely I have not got round to taking a shot of it from space so had to borrow one - and an atmosphere overlay and brush from Nucly.com. Please feel free to critique.

I looked to see if I could detect any mistakes or issues. Of course I couldn’t find anything. Just a wonderful composite. Do you pose you models with an idea in mind for a composite? Or do you develop a composite around the pose you have on hand of the model?

Phew, I got away with it then Frank! You’re just the guy I need to keep me on my toes.
I do the latter mostly. The model will generally offer an almost continuous stream of poses so I keep shooting and moving around. Occasionally, if I see the model in a particular pose, mood or setting in my mind’s eye I’ll instruct but generally I’m not that far ahead! A lot depends on how the model see themselves, they tend to have a ‘look’ of their own. On the same shoot as this was taken there was another model I just couldn’t get to pose ‘pre-Raphaelite’, she continuously presented as ‘glamour’ and far too angular. Luck of the draw a bit on these group shoots although we now have a lady managing them that has some good ideas. I have another booked for next April - just hoping something else comes up meanwhile. Thanks for your interest Frank.

I love the contemplative, gentle mood of this. Beautiful, Dave-not-Frank!

Thanks Linda, I see the ‘gentle mood’ interpretation but really thought more ‘quietly threatening’?

Nice work and I like your approach to compositing.
