It seems everyone else has already been, so we went, thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Most beautiful of all forests I have seen and I live among them. Here are some samples. Much to see and do.

Real nice shots. Every time I see a buffalo I think of how we screwed the Indians out of their food source. These are a few. Hard to imagine looking out there and it was solid buffalo. No other color or blank space. And when they moved the whole earth shook under your feet. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Nice! My wife and myself travel there every year. I was stationed at Ellsworth AFB in the late 70’s. It’s just east of Rapid City. Hope you managed a visit to CrazyHorse Memorial while you were there. They’ve come a long way since my time out there and it’s worth a separate visit on it’s own. I agree, the Blackhills are indeed beautiful. I too live live among forest. Mine are in Oregon, but I also lived north of Spokane WA. Each has its own unique qualities, but I really love the area of western SD and SE Wyoming. Safe travels…Ken
