Drove out to the grounds of a private school, called the Juvénat Notre-Dame, with my wife this afternoon. It is a place that we often visit. The school is located on an island formed by the Etchemin River splitting into two arms, just before it empties into the Saint Lawrence. The island is quite large with beautiful grounds, large trees and a fantastic view on the St. Lawrence River. Years ago, with the students in class, we would often be the only two visitors. Since Covid, many people seem to have discovered that it is an ideal place to bring your lawn chairs and spend a leisurely afternoon. Now that it is cooler, sanity has returned. Here is a photo taken on the grounds at low tide, looking west onto the South Shore of the St. Lawrence.

Thank you very much, Bill! Because of the proximity to home, it is an easy place to drive to for an escape from apartment life.
A special place and photo.

Many thanks, jederick! Not the most interesting subject, but for some reason it appealed to me. There are usually ducks and/or geese swimming around in that small cove when the tide is in.
