The only correction needed is to which snake she was asking about. The. Black and white striped one is a King snake and the Viper is definately a Rettlesnake! I was Not laying on the ground in front of the Rattlesnake! I was however on one knee at a greater distance of about 8 ft. Out of striking distance!

Ummm, did you take a CLOSE look at the TAIL on the second shot??? Those are rattles my friend and from the count he's around 5 yrs old and probably as long as his age; and btw they can jump twice their body length when coiled.

The snakes that you see are from my 2nd post, the snake that she is asking about is on the 1st post. It is a King snake!! Please check my 1st post

Sorry, I didn't read her question well enough. Actually, I knew all along that you would not lie down 5' in front of a viper!!! There was a BIT of concern, however, which is why I completely forgot to complement you on you photographys!
