What are your thoughts on the five day photography bundle deal that they run once a year for $98
You will find the same information
free on YouTube and elsewhere. Also, how many of the subjects/products are ones that you really, really, really want to learn more about? Let us know and we will provide the links for the resources. Donate your $98 to the charity of your choice
Linda took my comment. Now in October 2022, as it has been for several years, there is no reason to pay money for 'training' until you've exhausted all freely available training. And, there's more free training on the internet than any individual can consume in a lifetime.
And, finally, the $2200 "original price" is utter nonsense

Yea...I got it too in the mail!
Ok, I will continue watching Youtube. I have learned a lot over the years with this free resourse so I will continue learning for free. Thanks everyone for your responses!
When the 5 Day was first introduced, I did it for a couple of years -- probably mostly to help out on the charitable donation part of the program. But the quantity of what was in the package was overwhelming -- just too many things to go through, most of which I really wasn't interested in. In the original offerings there were also low-cost software introductions, some of which were interesting to experiment with -- but offerings now are pretty much just education/technique/how tos. Looking at this year's package, working with any significant portion would be a sizeable time investment -- so the question really is would a few of the items be worth spending for.

The other thing that, so far, has been useless for me has been presets. Never work out so I always end up doing a custom job. Or minimally do similar pics together after getting in the general area of how I want to edit a shot.
Names like, “autumn dawn” mean nothing to me.
Also I suggest associating with a good camera club. Often they have excellent classes for free.

This has become an annual event.
Multiple photographers and photography sites are currently offering “huge discounts” on packaged training videos.
Maybe there are a few deals out there but the shear volume means a lot of sifting of the chaff is required to find a few grains of wheat. If you see a photographer or web site, that you like, offering something you have thought about buying, then take a closer look.
I start my google questions with "How do I...." I always find a flood of free tutorials with the exact answers I was looking for
Thanks, Linda from Maine. Great information.
A few years ago, I purchased that year's 5 day deal, and it was all training. After downloading it, I never found enough time to watch it all.
After that, I decided to pass if the content was mostly training based.
The original (aka first time they had this promotion) it was actual software plugins and tools, that those were useful.
I did look at this years offer and I have decided to save my money and not purchase it.
What a timely question! I was examining the deal just last night. Many of the component courses seem to be 2-4 hours at most—with original prices like $49 or $115! Learn Lightroom or Landscape photography in 4 hours? I don’t think so! I was trying to justify the $98–thanks for the wake-up call! I already have more articles and videos than I can digest.
