You mention a lot of things that I did not notice when I took the pic--- the humming bird feeders and the KP for example. And, at the time I thought the skull and antlers were remnants of electrical conduit and box or something like that, which would not be unusual for a building that old.
At the time, I was more concerned with just taking the pic before the dog moved. I was in a narrow alley and was hanging out of the vehicle's window and trying to get as much of the building into the frame as possible, while excluding the rear view mirror, hood and the corner of the building that was just to the left of the car. Thankfully, the dog cooperated.

Understood. The "pressure" of the moment can keep us from noticing things that we can pick up in a relaxed viewing of the image at a later time. (That must be, to some degree, one of the factors that adds interest to photography.)
You have a very nice photo that you got under that sort of "rushed motivation", anyway.
The lighting, the storm sky, the old building, the smaller items of interest in the scene.....I'd say that even though you didn't get all the detailed, in-person visuals in that somewhat rushed decisive moment, there is a good relationship amongst the various parts that adds up to a successful portrayal of the whole.
Thanks overthehill, tom601, ez22 and moondoggie. I appreciate your remarks.
The image as shown is superb, but the dog in double download is a great as well. Thanks for this fine image.

This was taken moments before a heavy rain storm. I think dog was responding to a lightning flash.
Fantastic! Just eerie enough for Halloween season too! Love it.
