Fall in Maine offers plenty of opportunity to check out some wonderful colors. Much color change can be observed in the woods, near waterfalls or even in the local neighborhood. Here are a few from the archives and one or two taken on my street. Sorry I maxed out my number of photos, but I jumped in late for this challenge.

I max out too sometimes but, from what I can tell, it's just for the particular post/submission that you are doing. I've always been able to post more another time. Hope so... Your pictures are very, very nice.

I love the simple things that a walk can offer. Nice pictures to go along with the feeling.

Thank you. I know one should walk briskly, but I can't and that is a plus for me because I "see" a lot more. (I'm trying to find the positives!!)

Though I haven't seen them for a couple of years, the small Inca Dove was an annual visitor to my backyard for a number of years running about this time of year on their migration.

They look like velvet.

Some pics from the yard (except for 1st one - from Bellevue Botanical Garden).

p.20 WOW, Leek, stunning "reds" (bet your husband might not be thrilled, but they would be easy to spot!). Love that last one for sure.

Thanks for that! That morning, the sun was low on the horizon and back-lighting the trees like you wouldn't believe😁

I used to work with a guy who always said the same thing when he saw me:
"Hey Joe! Where're you goin' with that gun in yo hand?" I never actually heard
the whole son until about ten years ago...
