Sharing my photo tour of the US pavilion, World Exposition Dubai, 2020 (March 2022).
On entering the pavilion, Visitors are required to step on to a moving platform that snakes around the first few halls. The first hall highlights "Freedom/Democracy/Independence" with a large copy of the Liberty flame, and a curved presentation wall of the founding of American. The platform slowly moves the people standing on it to the next hall which has a textured wall in which another presentation, this one focused on achievements in science & technology is projected. The third hall focuses on great men and their contributions. A few highlight objects, like the first telephone/telegraph unit is displayed.
As the moving platform ends, visitors walk to another hall. It has a few comfy chair. People sat on them or on the floor to spectacle the US space history presented on the ceiling. Gemini, Apollo, Voyagers up to the latest space programs and possible futures were shown.
After the show, visitors exit up a step of stairs to a small space museum. A martian rock, a moonstone that can be touched and a model of a Mars rover are among the displays.
The tour ends outside with a Space-X booster display with a cafeteria under it, which finally exits to a souvenir shop.
All in all it was very nice deep, hopeful and fascinating experience.
Pavilion entrance
Visitors are greeted by the "Flame of Liberty" and a projected presentation in the first hall.
Moving platform brings people on the second hall which has a presentation projected to a textured wall.
Close up of the wall
...and on to the third area.
A plinthed display highlight: The world's first telephone, the adam of the smartphone.
The platform ever moving and things happening on all sides, it was hard to focus on a single display.
At the end of the moving path, visitors walk to another hall to sit on a few soft chairs or lie down on the floor.
The ceiling is mechanically animated and a presentation focused on space technology is presented
It was a mesmerising show.
Next stop was more hands on displays.
At the end of the show, visitors move upstairs to a small space & science museum.
A piece of the planet Mars here on Earth
And also a piece of the moon
Touching the moon!
A Martian rover is also on display
on exit we are greeted with a Space-X booster
And on to the stars we dream as we leave with hope for humanity in our heart.
Great post Wallen- thanks for sharing!

"What! No gantry?"
Serious: Thank you for your presentation. And thank you for taking us there.
What were your feelings after going through the exhibition? Sometimes, these are put together for a quick take down after closing, it seems.

Ha ha. Would have climbed it if there was!
I was sort of a geek during my younger years. Was a Science Bee Division champion and 3rd spot in the regional, so I was totally into it. Had followed most of the stories in the books and news, but seeing it altogether with tangible displays was a mind blow! My jaws hurt from smiling too much ha ha.
I was happy for the experience but sad at the same time for being born and raised in the wrong country. I had my fun but it was like a wakeup call, igniting once more a lingering feeling that cannot be quenched.
I flew model rockets in my youth. But we don't have the Estes, the clubs and the pool of knowledge and support that is easy to reach in the US. We made our own fuel and make do with whatever was there. Designed and built our own engines and fully realize how far we were from the big boys. That we never had a chance to even come close.
Thats the feeling. A lot of mixed emotions and memories.
I don't know if the exhibit will stay or if it has been already torn down. I'm glad to have the chance to visit and enjoy the show.

Great workout for my scroll wheel.
Reminds me of family get togethers with the old slide projector. These were mandatory. I wanted to play outside instead. Thanks for reminding me that youth wasn't always that much fun. Wish I had a scroll wheel then. The photos? Yeah, I liked the first few that i really looked at.
