Looking to be able to add haze/light smoke to an interior shot I have planned. Any suggestions for what to use? Also, is it safe to use around smoke detectors? Thanks!

Many professional photographers and cinematographers go to the SET SHOP for special effects smoke devices.

You can also purchase a smoke machine that works with a fluid that creates harmless oil smoke. I have noticed several advertisements for these units on Amazon. The density of smoke can be controlled and is very effective when transilluminated.

I use a smoke machine to add subtle fog to the room shot. The "Smoke Bombs" produce a more intense atmosphere.
