We took my wife's sister from NJ to the range. She had never shot a firearm and was afraid of them.
After about 10 minutes of shooting she made us stay for about 2 hours shooting.
Later she wanted to pose with a couple of rifles and play "Army" so I got my old jacket, hat and helmet and she posed with a couple of her favorite rifles.
The sanitized modern rifle was her absolute favorite and she wanted to take it home.

Way to go! Thanks for taking the time and initiative to educate and excite a "newbie".

Nice shots. I have an M1 Garand myself. It was the rifle I was trained on and carried during my time on active duty. That's been many moons ago now. I have considered buying an AR 15 but lean more toward the Mini 14.

I took a NJ school teacher friend of my wife a couple of years ago shooting.
She was a person wanting to ban guns and never handled a firearm.
Same result, she stayed on the range until we ran out of ammo and has returned to shoot subsequently with a whole other perspective.
I hope this does not kick me to the attic because these were just fun outings and have done it with many people who were never exposed to firearms.

I have done similar. These days being kicked to the attic or worse is a risk we patriots must take. Carry on and keep your powder dry!

She watched.
I never put newbies at risk for injury or a bad experience.
She started with a 10/22 moved to the highly customized M16 then to others including the Garand.
Good work! Love seeing the M1. Although I have an AR, I qualified on and still love the M1.
My wife wasn’t very excited about me having guns until I bought her a pretty semi-auto. Now she likes guns and we go on dates to the gun range.

Once someone has a good experience, especially with a semi auto they are hooked forever.
