Low shutter count... in excellent cosmetic condition... at a price that deserves thoughtful consideration.
Price point lowered to what mpb, KEH, Roberts and B&H are currently asking for a heavily used, high shutter count D700 without a MB-D10 Battery Grip.

I purchased this camera with 2722 clicks 4 years ago... It's now at a shutter count of 6614. Love shooting with it... superb color harmonies, great dynamic range, intuitive user interface and the same sensor as the Nikon D3. See imagery post below for examples of what this D700 (Serial Number 2468832) is capable of.

The Nikon D700 frame rate with the original included EN-EL3e battery is 5fps
However with the MB-D10 Battery Grip the D700 is capable of 8fps (14-bit) which places it within the Sports/Wildlife realm.

Please take a moment to appreciate 8fps here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RKMtX3JpCQ

I'm currently using the EN-EL4a lithium-ion battery from my Nikon D3x in my D700 with the Battery Chamber Cover BL-3 for the MB-D10 (required) which provides 8fps.
https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/battery-chamber-covers/bl-3-battery-chamber-cover.html

You can also use 8 AA-Size batteries for 8fps (MS-D10 Battery Tray required)
https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/power-packs/ms-d10-battery-tray.html

Note: With the 8fps option it is important to use a high speed CF Card to avoid buffer overflow.

The Nikon D700 originally shipped with an EN-EL3e battery.
To use this battery in the MB-D10 you will need a MS-D10EN Battery Tray
https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/power-packs/ms-d10en-battery-tray.html

As a Bonus I am including a MB-D10 Battery Grip with the MS-D10EN Battery Tray with this D700
This MB-D10 Battery Grip was purchased from KEH (Rated "Excellent Condition".)

If you are interested or have questions please PM me.
Thank you in advance for your interest.

Included:
Nikon D700 (Serial Number 2468832)
EN-EL3e Rechargeable Lithium Battery
MH-18a Battery Quick Charger (Serial Number 071101043)
USB Cable
DK-17 Eyepiece
Body End Cap

Nikon's D700 is one of the most cherished FX Body ever to be released. Used on a myriad of commercial assignments for over a decade and still a favorite with Wedding Shooters. I certainly love it!

Thomas, this a killer deal for an evolutionary Nikon FF model. I bought mine 2 years ago with the grip and 2400 shots on the odometer from Japan for $650. Anybody with more than two brain cells should recognize what a classic this camera is and snap this up. They would not be disappointed.

Great price on a great camera Thomas. I bought a used D3S a few years ago but would have been tempted by this one. Good luck selling this wonderful camera.

Great price for this camera! I just sold two for around that price but one had about 40,000 clicks, and the other was in the 20,000+ range. I always felt this was one of Nikon's best cameras. The large FF sensor and the spacing of the receptors made it one of the best cameras for controlling noise. Someone will grab this quickly.

Thank you for your positive feedback on the D700 Scott, Bill and Mike...
"... Someone will grab this quickly."

Sadly I've just received offers from UHH members who frequent the (Members Buy/Sell/Trade -- Classifieds) forum flipping used kit... I kind of expected this might happen since I've offered this D700 way below current market value. But why so many used kit dealers so soon?

Leaves me no choice but raise the price to ($399 or best offer) and to qualify the sale (No Used Kit Dealers)

Want this camera to go to someone who appreciates what it brings to the table and will actually use it and hopefully provide positive feedback on the sale. It seriously means a lot to me to see it go to another active UHH photographer.

I'm at a pivotal point in my commercial photography career which I can no longer accept location assignments (limited to studio sessions only). Recently underwent major surgery (fusion of cervical spine). Unfortunately the surgery did not go well leaving me partially crippled.

The result is I'm embarking on selling much of my commercial & vintage kit. Hope to create return customers since I've always been an advocate of creating "a customer for life". I worked two years in a camera shop in the 1990's and became keenly aware of why this is so important.

Hope this makes sense and if you are an active photographer (and your UHH posts indicate such) we can negotiate a price far below $399 that works for both of us. I'm in absolutely no hurry, and will be posting other items on this forum moving forward.

Additional information on this D700 that I thought other active photographers might find of merit.

This D700 with Nikon MB-D10 Battery Grip weighs just slightly more than a D3x or D3 thus can be swapped on a Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Head with little if any adjustment.

Thomas,

Good morning !

Just read read of your problem with neck/spine surgery outcome...that's not good at all !!

I had problem with my lower back. At the advice of my back surgeon I am putting off surgery as long as possible. He's saying outcome at this point could go either way.

Shortly after my recent purchase of Tokina ultra wide lens from you I underwent corneal transplant surgery in my left eye. All is going well with recovery but I have yet to try lens. My right eye gets same procedure 1st week of December.

Your classified for Nikon D700 has me Interested.

What is your absolute best price for well satisfied repeat customer ?

Best regards, Bill

Bill as a most valued customer this entire Nikon D700 kit as listed is available to you for $299 plus shipping.

I still have your address:

I would much rather see you get this than have a dealer flip it on eBay for twice as much.
Please let me know if this works for you and I'll try and get it to the USPS on Monday or Tuesday for shipping.

Your personal check is fine (or a USPS money order if you prefer).
As always if it doesn't meet your expectations I will refund your purchase price except for shipping.

Bill it's an awesome camera that yields excellent results exactly equal to my Nikon D3 Pro body.

Again many thanks Bill and best of luck on your right eye!
Cheers! Thomas

I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. I wish you the best. Glad to hear you aren't hanging up the camera strap though and that you will continue to shoot in a studio setting. I hope in time (medical improvements are almost a daily thing anymore), you will be able to get back into the field.

I also would be interested, I too have back and neck issues, don’t want surgery, I’m a medical practitioner and now using ultram for good results, I’m an active shooter and even shoot old Hasslblads on occasion, don’t know what a kit flipper is, but I will gladly put that camera to work. $300 is fair price.

Frank it's a small world, I'm on Tramadol also, yes it is indeed an agent of choice for spinal issues/challenges.
I'm able to function to a limited extent so yes it's effective however can only walk for a short distance at best before the pain becomes unacceptable... Another surgery is off the table. It is what it is, and I simply deal with it.

Love your Sunset Deer image Frank, looks like they have found shelter in a eastern white, or loblolly pine forest...
I notice you have the AF 300mm f/4 Nikkor my D700 loves this optic though for portraiture I tend to prefer 85mm to 135mm (or a zoom with that range).

Currently I have another loyal customer who I promised to hold this D700 kit for.
He promised to get back to me on or before Tuesday October 4th on a final decision to purchase.
Should he decide not to purchase you are next in line and this Nikon D700 is yours with all items listed for for $300 plus shipping.

Looking at your photographic work and kit I believe this D700 would be a good match for your photographic endeavors, it's actually very similar to a Nikon D3 Pro body for all intent and purpose.

As for a "kit flipper" it is simply an entity who is primarily interested in buying/selling used equipment with a speculation on turning a profit... sadly with little or no interest in actually shooting with the equipment.
Nothing wrong with that, just they are not someone who I feel comfortable associating with at this juncture on UHH. Hope this makes sense.

And good luck with ultram it's made a world of difference in my scenario.
Oh, you will be the first to know if the initial buyer declines. I'm good for my word here.

Thanks again Frank... Cheers! Thomas

Thomas:

Sorry to hear of your health issues. But it enforces my decision to postpone my fusion surgery. My orthopod has recommended fusion for L5 and S1 but am trying to avoid it with steriod injections and physical therapy.

Best of luck as you move forward to hopefully continuing your fantastic photography career with minimal pain and discomfort. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
