So.... I have never been one to be overly patient and the anticipation of Fall colors has gotten me pretty excited. This AM I drove up to the parkway to see how things are coming along. It is starting but it is not here just yet. On the way home I stopped off at a roadside waterfall that I usually just pass by..... The falls turned out to be the best part of the trip.

The photos with the Fall colors were shot at pretty high altitudes on the Parkway and are not representative of how most of the Parkway is looking right now. I also pushed the color a bit in post. Fall is just getting underway up there, next week will be better and I am not sure that it won't peak until after that.

What a great set "Blurryeyed! Long exposure for water is awesome...and the colors of the forst too! Very nice and peaceful "ambiant"...with a touch of sadness annoucing the moody weather days

Blurry, this is a fine series. We are north of you but aren't as far into fall. It must be a matter of altitude. I guessing that you all will be with heavy rain from Ian, I hope everything will be ok down your way.

As far as the weather, so far so good, it looks like the heavy weather will be east of us. Thank goodness, but the waterfalls next week should be interesting. We will see 100's of falls that appear out of nowhere if we get enough rain.
