Sports photography had been my passion, but several years ago when I started allowing myself more time to enjoy getting out and taking pictures, I quickly fell into bird and nature photography. I had a strong desire to learn more, and try to become a better photographer. That's when I started with UHH, and now it's the first email I read every day. I mostly read articles to learn more, but occasionally I make time to look at some of the beautiful photos. I'm glad I took time on the day you posted these crane pictures!! One thing that really draws me in to a photo is the lighting, and your crane pictures are absolutely beautiful! Like you, I try to process my photos to look like I remember seeing the original scene. I love the warm saturated colors in these photos. I'm guessing that's one of the reasons you went out to shoot at that particular time of day (and, because you knew when to capture the cranes ;) ). Anyway, this was a little wordy, but thank you for sharing your work. You, and several others on this site have really inspired me as I strive to improve my skills.

Thank you very much, again! You're right, early morning light is key for these and I know where the cranes are going to be throughout the day. Evening light is good for them too, but a very different look!
