Interesting how each year the snowball flowers turn this color the let you know that
it is time to get ready for Winter.

I have always been under the impression, perhaps mistakenly, that the color of hydrangeas was determined by the PH level of soil in which they were growing. A reddish color such as yours indicated a more alkaline soil while a bluer blossom indicated a plant located in a more acidic soil. Either way, you shared a very nice image with us. Thank you.
