This house is in my subdivision and shows what you can get for so little depending on location. About 15 miles away is Paducah, Kentucky which has most of what anyone would need. My daughter told me I should have bought it but being single I don't think so.

That house would probably sell for close to $500,000 in parts of CT

In some Rhode Island locales, like Portsmouth, Newport, Barrington, East Greenwich, etc. a similar house would easily list at $680K to $900+K. Why? Ask the New Yorkers and New Jerseyites who are buying up similar properties here and willing to pay above asking to live in the Ocean State.

Why? Just because you don't want to see it?
It's in the General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk) section.

SW CT would price it around $1600000 near NYC.

Location, location, LOCATION.

Real estate is a good hedge against inflation, but only before the real estate bubble bursts.

Bad, really bad location. It's on the wrong side of the river.

Beautiful, but did they mention the part about the Indian burial ground?

Does it provide the red cape? What are the flight restrictions should one want to leap into space? Any of the Kents still around?

What about the kryptonite that might be in the area?

That would go for at least half a million here in Podunk, TN.

This house would sell for well over two million here in Walnut Creek, CA.

Actually I like it here. Very little traffic, very quiet and near the Shawnee NF. Right across the Ohio River is Paducah, Ky. which has everything I'll ever need. This past Saturday gas in Paducah was $3.08 per gallon and there's no sales tax on groceries. That house surprisingly was bought by a single female who lives there alone or at least I've been told.
